  • Custom Crystal Reports Against ECC

We recently upgraded to ECC 5.0. I contacted the TAC and they provided me with a read only username and password to access the ECC MySQL database. I can make a connection fine from my client machine. The problem is, I cannot pull any data??? I am working on my client machine because I have Crystal reports installed on my client machine. This is also where I setup my ODBC connection. Is there anything I need to do on the ECC server to allow external access to the database?

Specifically, I am trying to create a report on release codes that i have attached.

    It should work.
    What are the settings?
Give me an example query you are using and I can test against my own DB.
    I also have read-only access.

Are you trying to use the C2G reporting? If you are, ECC does not populate that database by default. You have to setup the connection for it under Connections->C2G if I remember correctly.
