  • Trunk Reports

    Greetings all,
I am looking for 3rd party report software that would print more detailed reports than the "canned" ones that come with the ShoreTel system. A question came in one meeting as to how much utilization are our trunk being used and at what times do we get close to the maximum capacity of a particular trunk. It was also requested that the report includes a graphical chart. I'm not to up on report writers and I am sure something like this exsists, but I just haven't had the time to research this. I am also more open minded to "real world" trials of sofware and prefer recommendations. Thanks for any help or ideas.

      Chris,
Are you a dealer for RMS? If so, I would be interested in talking to you regarding the product and how it could fit into our Shoretel environment.

We have RMS installed at several ShoreTel sites in Australia and I can recommend it as well.

          Reporting

Take a look at Tapit. We have used it since 1999 and are going to use it on our new ShoreTel, due to the lack of reporting abilities. You can use it to look at trunk demand at any given point, plus build as many custom reports as needed.

The nice thing about the RMS stuff is that it reads the MySQL CDR database directly and pulls usernames, trunk names, etc from it. Most call accounting packages read the legacy text file or SMDR out put on RS-232 which is a bit old school in my opinion. I think they are a ShoreTel technology partner as well, or soon to be.

RMS, Firefox, Safari and a MacBook

Just tried to visit the RMS site. Couldn't get past the front page without getting a Forbidden(Invalid URL) message.

              *Update*
Okay, the links at the bottom of the page do work. It's the Flash app that only likes IE 7.

              *Disclosure*
I've edited this post a couple of times to augment the first statement, which remains intact. I tend to let people know if they are going to experience an issue with a web site.

I've been in touch with RMS this week and have had them quote both the Standard as well as the Pro. While we don't need all of the functionality of Pro, for the difference in money, that is what we will order. I was amazed at how reasonably priced it is.
