  • Pause in Auto Dial String

Is anybody aware of a way to make dial string pauses work with with Shoretel Call Manager? For example, I have a contact on my cell phone that dials our main number and logs into my voicemail box.

    ex.
[main number] PAUSE [*extension] PAUSE [password#]

I would like to be able to do this from the call manager, but from what I have found on the Shoretel site it is not supported via the speed dial function. I was wondering if anyone has succesfully done this with an outlook contact that is imported into the call manager. I tried using commas with an outlook contact but have been unsuccesful thus far. Any suggestions or comments are greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

        Try This

Try a comma. I use a comma for it, and it seems to work.

I dont think it is possible in CM. It deletes anything that is not a number when you dial.

Shoretel PCM or P Phones do not support a "Normal , for a Pause" I have never figured this out why. There is no work around,

In some cases you can create a button on the phone to emulae this and use the send digits over call option. Thats as good as it gets

We have quoted (but not yet written) a custom that can do this. Your speed dials would be set up as route points. The name of the route point is the number to dial with commas for pauses. To do the speed dial, simply dial the proper route point.

I have tried this on our system - it does not work. It ring the route point extension 4 times and goes to voice mail.

Of course. This is a custom application we would like to write for you. This is not native ShoreTel functionality.

                            Bump!

I would love to hear if this is possible now. I've researched this for quite some time and I'd love to know how.

Amazing a $99 telephone system will do that. With ST we can get a "custom" -- custom anything for $3K minimum
