  • Shoretel 8.0 and RightFax??

Hello all, we just went live with a Shoretel system back in November and we are wanting to integrate with our RightFax server. I'm running RightFax 9.0 on a Windows 2003 server with a 4 port analog Brooktrout TR1034+P4-4L fax board. The fax server itself is just hooked to an extension in the Shortel. When I talk to Rightfax, they say I need a Cisco 2800 router, and a few other things to make all of this work. Is that the case? Just curious if anyone has done what I'm wanting to do or has any direction they could point me. Thanks!

I don't see why you can't just hook up 1-4 analog station ports from ShoreTel to the fax and be done with it? Are you having some specific problem with setting it up this way?

It could very well work that way. I haven't tried anything yet, I'm just reading before I do anything. I could just set the extensions for the fax server as DIDs, which I think they already are and go from there?

We have a shortel and a rightfax server and we do it this way. We needed no other special hardware.
