In our environment we are currently using 4.65 of the Enterprise Contact Center but I am looking for some information on version 4.66. I have looked on the Shoretel website and they don't have much in the ways of the differences between these two versions. If I am going to upgrade I would need more stability or new features that would interest us. However, I cannot find document like this.

The real time reporting, administration, historical reporting, and agent toolbar have redone icons to make it a bit more intuitive. Also, the real-time application has a enhanced user interface that lets you do things like hold CTRL to select report entities, and redone charts.
I'm sure there's more, but that's what I remember off the top of my head.
Oh yeah, you can specify the caller ID for callbacks and dial list calls now. I know that was a big deal for people with hosted call centers.

4.66 ECC Upgrade <<<<BEWARE>>>>
4.66 upgrade bug fixes? Not from my experience. First thing that happened was I had a functional IVR application that was announcing a date. After the upgrade the announcer was transposing the month and day. So January 5, 2008 became May 1st, 2008. Not really that important unless you are the patient whose insurance eligibility is in question. Next item I noticed that the dial list now continuously dials the same phone numbers multiple times regardless of the result. It even dials these numbers even after I remove them from the dial list. Oh and Shoretel's tech support has taken months to resolve these issues. I'm not convinced they are resolved yet. Bottom line if you don't have a real good reason to upgrade, save yourself the headache.

I saw that fix for the announcement reversal in 4.66.04, which was released a couple of days ago and I think is on the partner site now.
As for the dial list thing, I have noticed that myself on an outbound dialer I setup last week and I thought it was from the test data I had in there. I terminated a dial list and cleared the source database and it kept dialing the numbers that I terminated anyways. The only way for me to stop it was to get into the ECC database and blow out the outbound tables completely.
I wonder if it could be trying up to the max retries anyways, even on successful dialing. Guess it's off to the lab for me.

And yes the purpose of new releases is to fix more bugs then ya ship :stuart:

I noticed that in 4.66 included new icons and a better looking interrface. The agent manager in particular has some more functionality now such as the ability to select multiple groups and agents and better looking charts. Someone already said all this but this was not in the 4.65.xx series, it is new to 4.66.
There is also a new feature that allows agents to confirm whether they want to make an outbound call before they are reserved for that call, alarms on the agent toolbar for when it rings (play a wave file on ring) for the different types of calls and I noticed the ability to validate outgoing numbers based on the north american dialing plan.
