  • Conf Ports not been seen

I'm setting up my first Conference Bridge, and for some reason the Shoretel server is not showing the 12 license ports. I think the problem may be is my MGCP Setting. The manual dosen't give a good exampe of the way the port range should be enter so I may have enter them wrong. Also how should the Bridge ID be enter? Any ideals on what I should check?

IF the conference server is up and operational, from the ShoreWare Director portal, Click IP pHones, Individual phones, sort by site. The Conference bridge ports begin with ED as a MAC address you, this is where you see them. If you dont see them you my haeb booted the conference bridge without allocating enough IP phone ports on the ShoreGear Voice Switches. Create the ports, reboot.

I Checked that and hae 29 ip ports available. I don't see any ports that start with ED. I did reboot the conference bridge server but still no ports. Any thing else I can check?

sorry, I have not been on the forum for awhile. If you do not see the ED mac address in the list of available resources, then the conference server config is in error. If you give me a call I can setup a remote support session and help you.

Switch Conf pts and Bridge IP range

I had same problem, when look at director/IP phones, no "ED" phones.
          do this :

On available switch ports of 1 switch,
must set them to Conference, = to # of your bridge lines (12,24,etc)

          On Bridge/Bridge Port Settings/MGCP
Bridge ID = 1 (but I think this may be arbitrary)

Primary/Secondary switch : enter IP addr of switches found in
Director at IP phones/options, Secondary must be the switch set with
          the Conference resources

Conference port IP address range 1 : set IP address for 1st conf line.
Allow for contiguous range = to number of Conf ports
Set range on same subnet as Secondary switch

          hope this helps --The Dude
