  • How about a cordless phone??

I've been looking at a shoretel system but I hate the lack of cordless phone support.

I understand there are some third party plugins but those are too expensive.

      Wireless, sorry.

I've been looking at a Samsung hybrid, which has sweet native wireless support which is nice.

Honestly, I would like to see a good true cordless as well without having to resort to using an Analog phone.

One of out users uses a bluetooth headset so that he can walk around the office and talk. Granted he can't dial out when away from his phone, but he can receive the calls. Works great and he likes it a lot.

So, not the best answer maybe, but have you tried a standard ATA as a "Sip Trunk" and attached to a cordless phone?

We have used the Aastra cordless phone with good success.

Yea, I've used different versions of SIP phones, and analog DECT phones.

I really wish Shoretel had a wireless phone that with programable buttons..

We are also in the market for a cordless phone for our helpdesk. What model did you purchase? Did you have any problems integrating it?

We had a Hitachi WLAN IP phone connected to our wifi network using a SIP extension.
It worked ok, but it seemed to be more trouble then the Executive's admin wanted to deal with, so she gave it up.

We have a couple dead/weak wi-fi spots, and re-establishing the SIP from the phone took several tries. Also, the phone only had the capabilities as a regualr analog line.
