Welcome to!

This site was created as a place to share stories, tips, and troubleshooting help with ShoreTel/Mitel systems. ShoreTel/Mitel is obviously the MOST exciting VoiP platform on the market right now, and we realized there was no centralized place to discuss this platform, but now there is. Please feel free to join and share your experiences.

Please Note: This site IS NOT owned, funded, or managed by ShoreTel/Mitel, Inc. although you may find ShoreTel/Mitel employees sharing there experiences and expertise. If you would like more information on ShoreTel/Mitel systems, contact BTX at [email protected]

  • Orbital Call Park

There is a need in some businesses for a "Orbital" call park. It should work by returning a DN when you park a call of the "Orbit" position where the call was parked. The "Orbit" range could be defined in the dialing plan. This comes in very handy for users who do not have a set desk and need the ability to pick up calls easily from any phone (even analog or poloycom/spectralink IP wireless) by simply dialing the orbit number. This would also be a great boon when trying to integrate with a legacy PBX since those "Orbit" DN's could be made off-system extensions from the legacy PBX and parked calls could be picked up even from extensions on the legacy PBX.
