  • "Easy Delete" wizard

We've all done it - gone and tried to delete a user extension and suddenly we are prompted 20 times for the 20 different locations where this extension is referenced that have to all be manually removed before you can delete the extension.

Wouldn't it be great if the deletion process did that for you? For example, if I delete the extension, I also what it removed from workgroups and extension lists. Why do I have to go do that manually first?

Even better, how about an intelligent wizard that would not only delete from workgroups and extension lists, but also "catch" other things that would need to be changed. For example: prompt for new workgroup backup extensions (if necessary), changes to auto attendents when referenced, etc.

Note, when I say "prompt", I don't mean "you can't do this because you have to remove this extension from somewhere else - press OK". I mean "here are the 9 places you need to modify, let's step through each one and make the modification now"....yep, that would be a wizard.

I would like that also. But what about a program that would not record the call history information in the MYSQL and within the User profile.

I would like to second this request. Would be great to not have to spend 20 minutes to delete a single user.

Interestingly enough, the system USED to be this way. I think they changed it in 7.0.

I hate to put it this way.... but in this economy, not having the ability to easily delete users (especially larger numbers) is a HUGE pain in the a$$. They need to fix this. Of course, by the time it's added, we will be out of the recession!
