  • I'll try it this way

We have a client that wants to be able to do CID redirection to route calls to the correct service group.

Here is the rub --- the KSU that they currently use costs $99.00 and it will do it. They want to be able to take advantage of using Outlook and like the ShoreTel Call Manager and Director.

Their issue is why to spend over 10 grand and not be able to have CID redirect. Someone mentioned that giving Contact Center will do it - yeah at double the cost.

Remember a $99.00 phone system will do it. I vote to have ShoreTel add this as a standard feature. I tried this in a another forum and it ended up be a digression on DNIS.

So does any one know something I don't know or know or an affordable 3rd party interface to accommodate such?

    CID routing

what is the scope of this? do they have a few numbers they want to route from or is it really a big scope..... could it be hundreds of "from" numbers or just two?

      Matching AC+Nxx

They want to be able to take area code 757-NXX and have it ring to WG1 and 252-XXX ring to WG2. We are really wanting it to look at the first six digits and sent it to a location. My guess is they would have 12 areas codes and many NXX's. We could get by with just AC routing.

How many agents do they have?
I think CC will do this as well and that would not cost 10K (depending on the number of users).

            CID Routing

Professional Services has a new Call Router software app to do this. It's a lot cheaper than using CC just to get this function. Won't quote pricing here, Maura Higgins can give it to you.
