More room for Restrictions and Permissions

I do not know about anyone else, but I would like to be able to have more than a 50 character Restrictions and Permissions box. We operate a call center and can not call certain parts of states, so we have a lot of restrictions by area code.

I would also like to see a restriction and permission box on the trunk group. That would mean far fewer custom dial plans when trying to use trunks for certain purposes.

Another alternative you might consider would be a custom application to do the blocking. We have quoted for this route when needing to implement a Do-Not-Call list for everyone in a company. With this system, calls can be delayed while a database lookup takes place, then either directed to an automated message saying the number cannot be dialed or allow the call to proceed.

Restrict more than 50 characters?

I hate to bump this old topic back up but I'm hoping there has been improvement in this area. I have a list of numbers I would like to block for various reasons. These numbers are random (not just a specific area code). How do I restrict more than 50 characters?

Perhaps there is a constant defined in one of the server files that I could edit?
