  • Networking to an Alcahell 4400PCX

    All,

Have a client running an Alcatel (to their chagrin) at their HQ office and looking to migrate to ShoreTel. Branch sites first, then HQ, but in the mean time, want to network the 2 systems together via VOIP. I am relatively comfortable in doing it T1 to T1 configured as TIE lines, but networking in the truest sense of the word isn't something I am ready to promise. Anybody have any ideas, suggestions, pit falls?

    Thanks,

    Phonemanjames

We just ran into the exact same situation - any resolution? possibly SIP trunks? We've successfully used SIP trunks to tie ShoreTel to TrixBox/Asterick but not Alcatel.
    Thanks,
    Chris

      Alcatel SIP

We have configured ST 9.1 to connect to an Alcatel OXO. There is an issue with the transferring of calls which appears to be on the ST side. THe OXE allows you to change a lot more paramaters than the OXO so you sholud have more success
