  • Bridged Call Apperances on analog trunks

Can some one tell me how to setup bridged call apperance on an analog trunk? This is the first time we have tried to program this feature.

First of a BCA has nothing to do directly with trunks. For a pratical purposes it is a hunt group that calls show up as buttons.

You setup the BCA, put the bottons on the phones and point the trunks at it. There is not much else to it.

What is needed is a scedule for BCA's

If you want to use a scedule for a BCA you need to go Route Point > Hunt Group > BCA. The route point for the scedule and the hunt group to break the VM pull back to the route point and hence allow it to follow the BCA, not pretty.

If you are looking for a button to directly access a given CO BCA don;t do that, not that we have not asked for it.

Ok similar question, have 3 or 4 analog ports that are in a hunt group. Can I use BCA to "moniter" those ports or the hunt group so as to get the caller ID info coming to those ports? Would monitor be the better feature? Will this come up in the PCM for the IP phone doing the monitoring or having the BCA.
The IP phone should not ring for these calls.

        Lets start clarifying things.

When you say you have 3 or 4 analog ports in a hunt group do you mean, that you have 3 or 4 CO in hunt from the phone company or

You have 3 or 4 analog phones and each of them is a member of a hunt group.

If you have the later then a BCA is not what you need.

If you have CO lines a BCA would work but it is only going to show the callerID on the phones as the line is ringing on the phone, once picked up its not going to be visible on other phones, you would need Operator Call Manager.

OK, this 3 analog extensions. So BCA will not work, but you think just using Operator CM will work?

Operator CM is going to give you all the possilbe information you could want.

An IP button that Monitors an Ext is going to give you some info, but its only going to show you the active call or ringing.
