  • C.O. call forwarding not working

    I have a small office w/3analog trunks that used call fwd/bna from telco.Since Shoretel install this won't work.The system is'nt releasing the call if no one answers.I set up a no answer destination and forwarded it off premise.It would be nice to get this back to working so it doesn't tie up a line.When I unplug the lines from the Shoretel and test it follows telco fwd/bna.Any solutions?

    I think that ShoreTel actually answers the incoming call straight away in some circumstances. If the destination is a workgroup then I think the call is answered immediately and then ShoreTel delivers ringback to the caller, that's how it can play queue greetings, etc. I'm not sure how many other DN types this applies to but if that is the situation then the CO CF/BNA will never work because the call is actually connected.

      It is a hunt group that answers.But would it act the same as a workgroup?

        Just have the call hit an extension and then do the forwarding from there.

          I don't know for sure but it sounds like it does. I don't have any suggestions for you to work around this. Sorry.
