  • STmapiRd.exe APPLICATION ERROR

I have a customer with one client that gets this error every morning when she boots up.
The message reads......THE INSTRUCTION AT "0x38f2b1da" REFERENCED MEMORY AT 0x38b81dbc". THE MEMORY COULD NOT BE READ

I know this has something to do with PCM grabing outlook info to its white pages, but is the fix as simple as uninstalling PCM completly and reinstall?

You get this error because of a bad install or is there other reasons?

    Resolved?

Was this every resolved? We're getting a similar message "Faulting application stmapird.exe, version 12.14.8701.0, faulting module olmapi32.dll, version 12.0.4518.1014, fault address 0x00009ee7". I'm only having this trouble on one machine. I know it has to do with Shoretel reading the outlook contacts at startup. Short of disabling this feature, I don't know how to resolve this.

    Thank you,

    Paul

We didn't find any defining reason, but I think we uninstalled and reinstalled or upgraded to to newer release.

I am also having issue with this and am getting the following error message when PC are started while PCM is loading:
Shoretel Call Manager MAPI Import Module has stopped working. There are steps to trouble shoot in the Shoretel Guide, however guide point it back to the server without much help.
Below is a log of the error. I have searched the internet, but now solutions are there other than point back to Shoretel.

You might want to try this:

In Call Manager, uninstall Outlook integration.

In Windows Control Panel>Add Remove programs select Outlook (or Office as appropriate) and run a repair.

After repair, go back to Call Manager and re-install the Outlook integration.

Note: if the repair doesn't change anything, you might have to delete or rename the file "OLMAPI32.dll" first before the repair to force it to replace the file with a fresh copy. You might need to have your Office/Outlook install disk on hand if the original install files aren't cached on the machine.

If this is an Office 2007 clean installation (not an upgrade from 2003 you might have to manually install the CDO (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en)

Tried and it worked till the Outlook integration was reintalled, then message comes back again.

I have done some more testing and the MAPI issue seems to have stopped. Tried a couple of variations and this is the order that appears to work:
              1. Uninstall Outlook Integration in PCM.
              2. Rename file OLMAPI32.Dll
              3. Reinstall Outlook Integration in PCM
              4. Run repair of Office 2007(in our environment).
              5. Reboot.

I was having a similar issue everytime i started my computer. Right after my shoretel call manager loads and before it imports my outlook contacts i would get this popup window:

                ThorConnWndClass: STMapiRd.exe - Application Error
The instruction at "0x0294b6df" referenced memory at "0x0294b6df". The memory could not be "read".
Click on OK to terminate the program
Click on CANCEL to debug the program

My problem was with the contacts it was trying to import. To fix:
                1. From the Shoretel Call Manager, click "Options"
                2. Click "Configure ShoreTel System..."
                3. Click on the "Outlook" tab
                4. Click on "Show Import Log..."
                5. Note the Failures and Errors Reading Contacts
                6. Click "Close"
                7. Click "More Options..."
                8. Click on the "Import Configurator" tab
                9. Uncheck the offending items (in my case it was 2 IMAP email accounts) that matched up in the Import Log
                10. Click "Apply"
                11. Click "OK"
                12. Click "OK"
                13. Restarted computer and no more popups
