In order for notify user to work properly, you need to make sure you setup the options on the ShoreTel server's Virtual SMTP server.

Go into the IIS services. Select virtual server, then delivery, advanced options. Enter the name of the companies email server.

It is also a good idea to remove, or bump up the limits on email size. In the event you have large voice mail records, this setting can block them from getting delivered.


Now if you have had this setup in the past and now when you try to use notify user and you get the error path not found. I have found that some of the window updates effect IIS services and ShoreTel. The solution that has worked for me is re-install IIS services, then re-install the ShoreWare Server software. This normally does the trick.
