  • Incoming calls silent

    Hi, all.

    I'm in Leesburg, VA and am supporting a user in Michigan who is using a company supplied Shoretel 230 phone on his home router. At the moment I am completely unfamiliar with his network/ISP setup but am in the process of gathering this information from him.

    The user's issue is thus: Outgoing calls work perfectly, incoming ones are silent. The phone rings but neither the caller or my user can hear anything.

    I was wondering if off the top of your heads there were any ideas you might come up with that could cause/resolve this. I'll post back with more info when I get it.

    Routing? Make sure Subnet masks and Default Gateways are correct.

      Did this start out of the blue or was there an upgrade, switching carriers/ISP or is it a new install?

        Is this a VPN phone or a phone behind a VPN. This sounds like a routing issue.
