  • Firmware mismatch

    Hi All,
I'm brand new to shoretel. Doing my 1st install next week. I've built the server ver 9.1, that all seems fine. Added a 90BRIV (Ireland/UK) and have had it showing firmware version mismatch for over an hour. I've restarted the switch and I'm wondering how long it should take to update. Didn't think it took this long on the course. Maybe I'm missing something.
Would be grateful for any help.
    Thanks, Peter.

Update: On quicklook I now have switch showing firmware update available following a reboot. Watched on procomm and saw file tskl/uImage
loading. Tried another reboot but still showing firmware update available. Going for a beer will try again tomorrow.

What is the connectivity like between your HQ server and the switch?
      Same LAN?
I have seen this problem often when there was a firewall or NAT blocking traffic..

Just have it running in the lab. Server & SG90 on the same switch.

How long did the burnflash take?

Should only take 5 minutes. The time it takes to connect a console, issue the command and execute.

400Degreez......take two of these and walk it out!

Hi apologies for the delayed reply, was in UK on that install.
Burnflash took about 5 minutes, keep Procomm/Hyperterm open and you can see it all happen.

V switches take much longer to burnflash and upgrade than regular switches. I have seen it take 20 minutes on a LAN, it will be longer over the WAN.
