Okay, Basic Newb to Shoretel Question. I'm trying to plan an install for a Customer of ours, using ShoreTel, because well, the BCM 400 from Nortel is a tad expensive. The only thing I need this system to do is Voicemail, and interface with a PRI, Is there any way to only get this feature and have the Voicemail link directly into the PRI so we can route our Call Manager through the PRI to the Voicemail system? Can I use my own switch or is this a proprietary issue with ShoreTel like Nortel?

Connectivity to PRI
Your ID indicates a prospective ShoreTel customer, your question/comments seem to indicate you are (or want to be) a ShoreTel reseller.
The way you have it worded, Gorilla Glue is you best shot and that ain't going to do squat.
Are you looking to for assistance from a reseller? What part of the world? The people on here will go way over board to help.

Possible
I'm more looking for help from a reseller, we just need the hardware, well, software in this case, i'm trying to figure out if I actually need a ShoreTel switch if its proprietary to the software. I've already got a router for the PRI, I'm basically trying to setup a voicemail system, no Call Manager, nothing else other than Unified Messaging and trying to get a price quote on that. I've already got in contact with someone at Shoretel to get the quote started. Thanks alot guys. This makes things alot easier than playing phone tag with engineers and sales reps.

Your are going to need a T1/PRI Shoretel switch to drop you PRI off to and a Shoretel VM server. I would get one of the newer T1 switches that can drive phone as well. http://www.shoretel.com/products/voi...ear-220t1.html Shoretel is not going to want to support you without a phone switch at the HQ site. I have run a system with no switches a HQ but ST was not happy about it.
You are going to need the site license, and a VM box only license for each of the VM boxes you want.
I am not sure I understand what you are trying to do with the Router and the PRI. Is the router a SIP gayway that turns a PRI to SIP. If so just get the T1/PRI switch and plug the PRI directly into the switch. You should not need the router nor SIP.
If you are doing it with SIP, your going to need a Voice switch. Each port on a voice switch can drive 5 SIP trunks. You also would need a license for each SIP trunk.
If you connection approach is something else, let em know and we can work through it.There are 10 types of people in the world, those that understand binary and those that don’t.

Landing off the PRI
Presently, They're going to Cisco Call Manager, and back to their existing Voicemail inside Asterisk. Crappy way to do it, yeah, but they their voicemail until we're 100% in place with this. Problem is, we've got Callware Callegra UC already in place via SMDI to Cisco CM, How can we make Shoretel work with this setup, and using the same Call Manager?
