  • Setting UP SIP Trunks to a Third PArty Provider

    Hi,

I am new to shoretel and working on a demo system from a reseller

I have it setup, but when I addaa INdividual SIP trunk it says no ports available and wont add a New Individial SIP trunk. I believe that is where it adds teh IP address of the Third Pty SIp Server?

Also, Does SHORETEL REGISTER with third pty servers...? i.e. send a SIP REGISTER message?

You need to go into switches and reserve a port for use by SIP trunks. This reserves resources for ShoreTel to be able to handle the trunk.

ShoreTel should send a REGISTER message, AFAIK.
