  • Can 7.0 PCM upgrade directly to 9.1 PCM?

We are planning an upgrade from 7.0 to 9.1. The current plan is to take the server from 7.0 to 8.1, and then immediately to 9.1. But does anyone know if we can we skip the interim upgrade on the clients?

    Thanks,
    Gary

We just upgraded from 7.0 PCM to 9.1 PCM through a batch file and the upgrade worked flawlessly.

Alpha, can you provide more information on the upgrade process that the users will see, other than "There is a new version of call manager available, do you want to upgrade"

You should make sure that the .NET 3.5SP1 is installed or it could take a really long time to upgrade as each client reaches out to Microsoft for the .NET update.

It's a pretty smooth process, if you machines meet the minimum requirements it should be a good experience.

What about the phone firmware? Do the phone need to be rebooted between 7.0 and 7.5 then rebooted again after 9.1, or can there be one reboot done after getting to 9.1?
