  • Browser problem ( remote server (DVM) )

How do I enable or install the web interface on the remote server...for some reason this was not installed in the begining. Do i have to go through the remote server installation all over again? Thanks

There is no management interface on the remote DVM. It's all on the HQ server, but you can access from anywhere on the network using http://[ip address of HQ server]/shorewaredirector

I can access from anywhere using the HQ server with no problem. I guess the question came up when we had a problem on the local dvm. While going through troubleshooting process...when you open the shorewaredirector and go to events or services...the services you are looking at are not the local remote dvm services they are HQ server services...if so how do you access the local dvm from the browser ?

When you first login to shorewaredirector, you see the quick look page. In the servers column, click on the desired dvm, and then you can click on either the application/system logs, or the services list.
