  • Bandwidth.com & Internationals Calls

Has anyone had sucess in making international call using bandwidth.com & Ingate. We cannot get it to work & all we are getting from both ShoreTel & Ingate is finger pointing as to why it is the other company's problem. Any help would be appreciated.

    Bandwidth.com & Internationals Calls

    Hi Lou,

This is something we struggled with a little bit, but eventually got working. We are using Shoretel 8.1, with an InGate SIParator, and Bandwidth.com SIP trunks.

Bandwidth.com requires the "011" dialing prefix to be stripped before it reaches their servers. The options are to have Shoretel or the SIParator strip these digits.

Going the Shoretel route requires the involvement of their professional services group. Fortunately, it's not too difficult to do in the InGate.

Hopefully you are familiar with the InGate configuration interface. You'll need to setup a regular expression to strip out the "011" from the outbound dial string. The settings are located in the InGate configuration under SIP Traffic / Dial Plan / Matching Request-URI.

If you still need additional help let me know.
