  • Wireless Phones

Customer has a small office with 10 stationary phones, but wants 20 wireless phones. Should I do IP or standard analog station wireless? Any recommendations for wireless vendors?

    Thanks

We needed 4 wireless phones on our system. I went with analogs. We needed long range so I went with Engenius. They have been great. Engenius DuraFon1X Long Range Cordless Phone System

you will burn up a lot of switch resources assigning 20 analog lines

You could use the 24A switch if things will stay analogue. You can also look at the Ascom SIP-DECT system which is in the TPP. ShoreTel sees the phones as SIP extensions (getting around the resource issue noted below) but the phones are DECT devices (getting aroung the WiFI voice dramas).
