  • IP8000 Full-duplex Audio problem

I'm having a problem with two new IP8000 conference phones. I have successfully configured and registered them with our ShoreTel system and am able to make and receive calls, however no audio from the other party comes through the speaker. They can hear me just fine but their audio is not there. Speaker levels are fine and I can't find anything in any of the SIP trunk or IP8000 settings that lead to any clues as to the problem.

Have you unticked the "Always use 5004" option in Call Control? This needs to be off for the IP8000 (or any SIP device) to work.

Yep. And I've rebooted our switch (we only have one), the server, and both IP8000 phones. Still no luck.

Did you reboot the server twice?

See the post below. JLorenz says that you must reboot the server twice, followed by rebooting switches and phones after unchecking "Always use 5004".

          What build of Shoretel?

Are you configuring the IP8000 as a SIP extension or SIP trunk?
