Shoregear-12 Switch

I have a used Shoregear-12 phone switch and Shoreware Director 5.2.

Does anyone know how to re-configure a Shoregear-12 switch? It has no console port, and when I run wireshark, it does not send out DHCP requests. It seems to be configured already to operate on another Director system.

How do you reset it so that it will use DHCP to get its IP addrress?

Guys, I have to add that I opened up this Shoregear-12 phone switch and found a header for the console port. I found a row of jumper pins that seems to be connected to a RS232 driver chip. Anyone know what the pinout iis?

Where are all the "shoretel experts"? come on guys!

I'm setting up this system for a very poor Catholic church in East L.A. They cannot afford a Shoregear 40/8 switch. This old Shoregear-12 IPBX and old Director 5.2 system is all they have.

Guys,

I figured it out already. Turns out the Shoregear-12 IPBX has a connector for a serial console port. It is RS232. The connector is on the upper circuit board, next to the ethernet connector. Use Hyperterm at 38400 baud 8-N-1.

Anyone out there know what kind of analog phones will work with this switch?
