  • Strange Issue

I am currently building a new system in the lab and having some issues.
I have setup DHCP and have ensured the phones are getting the correct IP info. When I add a phone, it shows up in IP PHONES and I can assign a user to it, however the phone will not update, it is saying Requesting Service even after I assign it and verify that it has received all the correct info from FTP. Once I reboot the server the phone comes online correctly. I have had to reboot it each time I add a phone, I have 80 phones to install. Wondering if anyone has ever had this issue? This is only my second installation.

    Thanks,

Did you remember to assign the ports on the ShoreGear switch to be IP Phones and not Analog ports?

Yes I have a SG90 with all ports assigned to "5 ip Phones".

I had a similar issue when a fellow tech did not install the internet data connector in the Windows setup. Check to make sure all iis stuff has been installed.

You may want to check the registry (under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE / Shoreline Teleworks) and make sure the IP address in the HQServerAddress field is correct. I had a similar issue one time and that turned out to be the problem.

That was the problem, when I installed the SW it didn't recognize the nic card and put the server IP as 127.0.0.1, when I changed that eveything came up. Thanks all for the replies.
