  • Clearing Cache on Button Box24

    We moved a BB24 from our HQ site, to a remote site. The BB24 is coming up with a cached IP, thus not seeing anything or registering with the director.
    The location is configured correctly, a brand new button box came up ok, along with new phones without having to manually configure them.

    I'm trying to remotely walk someone through this too, so it makes it even more difficult to figure out.

    I've tried resetting the BB24 a couple different ways. The first way is when powering up the BB24, held down all four corner buttons (1,12,13,24). I was told that would set the box back to the default factory settings.

    The other way is when powering up, to enter in 1234 as the password, and then pound. The problem is the buttons aren't labeled, and I'm guessing what each button is.

    I'm guessing the top left button is 1, and the button below that is 2, all the way down to the 10th button on the left side being 0. The 12th button is *, and the 24th button is #.

    Do I have the button order correct, or is there another way to reset BB24?

    Button Layout

    The button layout for the BB24 is as follows (I'm only including the pertinent buttons):

    1 6
    2 7
    3 8
    4 9
    5 10
    * #

    When it prompts you for a password, start with the 6th button up from the bottom on the left (this is #1) and then continue with 2, 3, 4, #

      Thanks, I just figured it out too. One more key that can be important is the backpsace, which I think is the speaker button on a normal phone.
