  • Very Historic Building

We're working in a very historic building, and need to have to IP phones on a floor where we can't run cable. Would like to place a wireless router on either the floor either directly above or below and use 2 receivers on the unwired floor for the 2 phones we need to place. We have power available on the floor in question.

Anyone done this before and have specific hardware recomendations?

    Thanks!

    Bob

    Wireless

We have done IP phones over wireless between two "historic" buildings separated by street.

My only recommendation would be to spend the money and get some cisco access points. 500 to 1000 dollars each may seem extreme, but it sure beats rebooting the linksys/netgear router ever other day because it stops responding.
