  • Upgrading from 7.5 to 8.0 on a new box

Currently have 7.5 running but we are going to migrate on a new box and upgrade to 8.0. Should i upgrade in place 7.5 then migrate it to new box or can i upgrade and migrate at the same time for the new box? Any issues anyone has run into. I see the thread on how to migrate from 7.5 to 8.0 and seems pretty straightforward. Just wondered best practices for what i'm trying to accomplish.

I would move a copy of the Shoreline data folder over to the new server and load the software, just try and keep the server name and ip address the same. When you are ready just unplug the old and plug in the new and reboot everything in order so DVS, switches and phones upgrade.
