  • Does the Shoretel hand off the call

Quick question, does Shoretel switches, and off the call after is is established or does it somehow stay involved with signaling. I have a problem with softphones that are over a VPN connection calling each other, no voice but it does ring and look established.

    Thanks in advance.

voice is a RTP stream between the end points.

I beleive the thing the switches do is just setup and break down of calls.

There is no relay or proxy the communication is handed off to each softphone. Which means you need to have tunnels from everyone to everyone to get this to work.
