  • SIP Trunking Less Ingate / More Functionality via SIP

    Hi:

EtherSpeak SureTrunk.com is offering FREE trial of the SureTrunk service certified for ShoreTel.

As mentioned previously, the SureTrunk service is an "Ingate-free" solution and is unique in that SureTrunk Supports ShoreTel Office Anywhere over SIP. This means that you may provide PRI like service to customers who only have POTs lines configured on their ShoreTel.

We are encouraging resellers and customers to sign-up and put the service through it's paces! To do so, simply go to SureTrunk by EtherSpeak and click "sign-me-up" at the top of the page. Please make sure you enter all of the information and one of our engineers will call to arrange a time for provisioning your system.

    Thanks again,

    Neil D

We've been using this service for about 2weeks. It seems to be solid. No problems so far.

        SIP Trunking

        Hi Vance:

The two key aspects to SIP Trunking include origination and termination.
        - Origination means providing the telephone number and routing calls to those numbers as "inbound" traffic. So, if you get inbound numbers from us, that means we have selected a carrier for the origination as those numbers are owned by a given tier one carrier or CLEC. Level 3 is our primary carrier for origination as they provide origination and termination for 93% of the USA.

        - Termination means outbound - or transporting calls from a customer phone or ShoreTel IP PBX to a destination - basically when you dial a trunk access number (e.g. 9-804-XXX-XXXX) thereby accessing the SureTrunk, we look at where that call is destined and our systems select the best carrier for the call to assure that the call goes through with the best reliability and efficiency.

We run on Level 3, XO and we are testing now on Broadvox. In addition, we have some local CLECS that we use just for some specific state and international geographies and / or destinations.

SureTrunk routing is invisible from your user's perspective - but because we support multiple carriers we are able to ensure that we can reach most any destination in the world.

SureTrunking is unique to ShoreTel customers in that:
1 - No equipment is required to purchase and setup is free
2- 100% of the functionality that you would get with a PRI is provided with the SureTrunk service
3- We provide the billing directly to the customer
        4- SureTrunk's are certified by ShoreTel on version 7.5; 8.0 and 8.1
5- The SureTrunk service allows you to use ShoreTel's Office Anywhere for customer's who have POTs - and they would like to use Office Anywhere with direct dial numbers from most locations in the US. We don't have 100% of the country covered - but we can tell you very quickly where we have DID availability.

        Thanks,

        Neil D
