I have been given a dbimport tool that will allow me to import users/changes through a csv file. Does anyone have experience with this? Once created, I get the error:

    Invalid Headers: Extension,FirstName,LastName,UserLicenseType,HasVM ,CallerID,Use
    rGroup,Site,Language,VMServer,CallStackSize,Accept Broadcasts,MakeNumberPrivate,D
    ialByName,FaxRedirection,AllowSoftPhone,ClientType ,GuiLoginName,GUIPassword,TUIP
    assword,EmailDomain,ConferenceServer,ConferenceSer verUserID,RingType

The DBimport tool is part of Shoretel 7. Unless you are running 7.0 (beta customer), this is not supported. The only prior tool was the userimport tool which is supported on Shoretel 5.2 (doesn't work right on 6.0 or 6.1).

          You could take this approach!

I am only doing about two hundred users. I guess it will be easier to hand crunch them.

Thank you all for your help.

If you are using 7.0 even their test .csv file doesn't work. The headers in the CSV file does not match their test file.

What I did discover was that to make their test file upload, I had to do the following:
                1. Change the the 'f' or 't' for the boolean values to True or False
                2. Make sure that the DID range that I was uploading was already built into the trunk groups.
                3. The voice mailbox for recorded calls was an actual extension created.

Once this was completed the csv was uploaded successfully.

Two hundred users... walk in the park. I've just finished touching over 1000 user records to turn on voicemail as a wav. file to email. Now they have changed their minds and want it back the way it was.

Sure wish I could figure out a way to make the change with an import.

I've used the DBImport tool successfully on ver 7.5

The problem is I can't edit the users, the NEW, COPY, SAVE, DELETE options are grayed out and Busy appears near the top right corner.

Has anyone experienced this problem or does anyone have a solution?
