  • Need help with ATT PRI config

    Greetings,

We just got our new PRI lines installed. I'm finally able to place and receive calls on a temporary number. ATT still says they are not seeing what they would like to see in the formatting of the call. I enabled the special setting for the E.164 stuff and that helped, but not enough.

Anyway, I decided to telnet into the T1 switch to see if there was any debugging I could turn on that would help me to identify what they are "not" seeing." I noticed that whenever I place a call, the following message pops up for each of my calls. It appears to me that something is not configured correctly, but I can't figure out what? Any ideas? It's like it is doing ascending on the outbound call when maybe it is suppose to be descending?

    ERROR: src=Trunk, eventid=0xc100006c , str=(outbound_seize_failed[p 23]: retry_cnt 1/23, retry_bits 0x00000000

Can you post a screen shot of your PRI switch and its config, along with how att wants it provisioned. It sounds like you are not configured for what att is looking for.

      Got it sorted out

Got it sorted out (or should I say AT&T.)

I called them back, and surprise, surprise, they had not enabled all the channels, only channel 1.

AT&T has been a pain to deal with. Definitely not the smartest bunch over there.

That's at&t (as in lower case), not to be confused with the original AT&T. I always get a kick out of letting their techs know that they work for the "little at&t". Most of them understand what I am talking about and agree with me.

In the Famous words of Sargent Shultz " I know Nothink, I see Nothink"

Glad they got it ironed out
