Anyone play around with the ring down option yet. What have you used it for and how?

Most ring down circuits will be deployed on Trading room floor type of situations or Elevator Phones or Door Phones that have ability to open doors as well.

With ST 8 (I am assuming your referring to 8) I had not seen it used or deployed. It is more then likely fully capable of the above scenario's

I just installed 8 last week, the ring down works good. I have been trying to figure out a way to incorporate 911 into the ring down without using a autodialer.

That might be tough, setting up an ext only with 911 always as the forward and making sure its private and unpublished in the directory

Or a Route Point enabled the same way, the issue is 911 is not a routeble number so I am not sure how ST will handle this

Yes, you should be able to get a custom dial string to work, this will fall under Professional Services / Implamentation services at SHoretel. Of course a cost is involved, I would contact ShoreTel SE to start with
