  • Mobile 5 Media Player

    Hey fellow Shoretel Installers,

I have a customer that has completed a rollout of Windows Smartphones using Windows Mobile 5. The issue is playing the voice mails when they are attached to an e-mail and sync to the smartphone. The default media player, says "unknown format". I know that Shoretel compresses the .wav file.

My question to the group is, has anyone found a codec that can be downloaded to the smartphone in order to play the compressed .wav file. or another program that can take the default media place?

    Thanks for your help.

    Solution

If you are looking for a media player for Mobile 5, try http://tcpmp.corecodec.org/about

it was recommended by a couple of other engineers.

The link listed above is no longer valid. It seems this company got bought and the freeware is no longer available.

Any suggestions on a current product?

            Thanks in advance,
