  • Shoretel Reporting - MySQL DB

As with many others, we're finding the canned reporting capabilities very lacking..

Trying to create some quick Excel / MS Query reports, I have found that the shorewarecdr database seems to be dropping old data from the database. Does it happen to store that data somewhere else before completely deleting from the database?

You can adjust and or archive old data if you enable it in your report options.

Ultimately CDR data grows to be quite large if you do not give it a lifespan. If you need to keep it longer then setting up a push to an external MySQL instance that you manage separately is a good way to allow for much larger CDR retention without bogging the production VOIP server down in maintaining it.
