Default username and email

How do I change the default username and email when adding new users? We recently changed our username and email address format and would like to change the defaults in Shoretel also.

I'd be careful using the dbimport tool. I used it recently to make a simple global change and the system disassociated all of my users I made the change to from their IP phones. Fortunately this happened late of a Friday. I had the weekend to get everything working again.
