  • Shoreware IPCS service stopping

    Can anyone tell me what might be causing the IPCS service to continuously stop? We have just setup an IP8000 and after setting up the SIP trunk and rebooting all of the switches and phones we began having this problem. We are using version 6.1 on a 2003 enterprise edition server. The event log only shows that the service was terminated unexpectantly but gives no specific reason.

    The IP Phone Configuration Service (IPCS) manages the IP phone configuration process. This includes configuration file downloads and the database updates.

    To have the IP8000, you need to running ShoreTel 6.1 Build 11.15.3203.0 or higher

    I believe there is a IPCS log on teh server you might want to check. Did you uncheck "Use port 5004" on the server when installing the Conference phone? I assume that's when this occured.

      You are correct. This service stopped working when we unchecked use port 5004. I will take a look on the server for the ICPS log you spoke of. Thanks for your information.
