  • PCM error writing to history.txt

I have a user who recieves the following error on occasions which causes her PCM to lock up for an extended period of time. She is running the Agent supervisior license on 7.5 12.13.1328. It is event ID 1900

ShoreWare PCM was unable to write to the following file: C:\Documents and Settings\"username"\Application Data\ShoreWare Client\"username"/history.txt

    Thanks

Its a permission issue on the server. You can run a install repair and see if it fixes the issue.

      SVALLES,

When you say install repair, do you mean from the ShoreTel firmware or is there a PCM install repair?

          Permission

I am unsure how this would be anything related to the Shoretel VM server.

I felt the same way the error on the call manager seems to say the issue is on the local pc but after reinstalling the shoretel server the issue corrected itself.

It would because the shoretel server adds those permissions when you load it. I had an issue with phones not reading the sevecustom.txt file I modified and it was a permission issue, but I just went to the txt file properties and added the shoretel users to the permissions and all was good.
