  • Softphone option not there.

    Hey guys, we have a problem with call manager, where once the "allow softphone" option is checked in Director, the option for it doesnt show up in Call Manager. Like, I can click on Primary phone, and the only option there is to assign it to my external assignment.

    Everything else with call manager works. When I do the ctrl+F12 thing, and go to softphone status, it says Softphone is not initialized.

    I have tried reinstalling PCM. Also as administrator.

    ST Version 10.2
    Client OS Windows 7 32bit

    Have you confirmed that you have a speaker and microphone available?

      Oh...uh, well no.
      I guess that would be a good idea. Would that prevent the option from even showing up in Call manager?

        Yes it would. A microphone must be present before the softphone option is even offered. I know this because my virtual machines do not have a microphone unless I forward a physical USB headset...
