  • Unable to Delete User

    I am relatively new to Shoretel so I'd appreciate maybe a bit more in depth explanation if possible.

    I am trying to delete a user.

    When trying to delete one user I get:

    "Cannot delete this extension. It is still referenced by the system (Table: HuntGroupMembers; Key 211; Field UserDN".

    Any ideas?

    The user needs to be removed from the hunt group before you can delete the user.

      If you could specify a bit more in depth as I am not able to find the hunt group window. Thanks!

        In Director, follow this path:

        Call Control > Hunt Groups

        You can then select the Hunt Group you would like to edit.

          The user's extension might be tied to another user....or call forwarding is set somewhere to another extension. I also think that if the user is tied to a workgroup you might get the same alert. Just unbind the user; you should be able to delete him/her after that.

            He was in every Hunt Group. Call Control->Hunt Groups found and removed all, deleted successfully.
