  • Batch Update User Caller ID

    I've got a User Group of about 65 people. We're changing the main (vanity) phone number we're 'sending' on outbound calls. Is there a way to update the users' caller ID fields without having to manually touch all 65 individual users?

    There are several other user groups in the same site as well, but this is the only one that needs to have Caller ID changed.

    I'm running 7.5 and don't see anything in the batch update field for CID.

      Do they have DIDs set or an existing value in the CID field?

        No DIDs, all of them currently have an existing value in the CID field.

          You could open up the database and in the Users table, sort by usergroupid. Then find the user group and then find the CIDNumber column and highlight the number and change it.

            Hi, sorry to bring up an old post but I am hoping some of you more experienced users of Shoretel/Mitel Director might be able to help.

            I am developing a PHP page to give users the ability to update their 'Caller ID' field with a mobile number on a weekly basis so save us admins having to so this everyday. I have got the form working, it can update the field in Director and update the required field 'CIDNumber' in the shoreware database in the 'users' table as well, but for some reason this does not work, i.e. the caller ID is not being overwritten. The only way to save and apply it is to go to Director and press the Save button here. So this Save button must be writing something else to the database to make this setting stick but I am unsure what.

            Any help is much appreciated!
