  • Advice please workgroup/huntgroup?

    Hi,

    I currently have a number of emergency callout numbers with mailboxes for customers to call and leave voice messages. The existing system I have calls a predetermined list of mobile phones in a top-down order advising there is a message waiting. The on call engineer will then log in to mailbox and listen to the message. Can you please advise the best way to achieve this with a shoretel system? is it a workgroup with escalation profiles?

    Any entity that has a mailbox (such as extensions or workgroups) has notifications. Notifications have 10 "profiles" of which only one can be active at a time.

    Below is a screen shot of a notification profile. The first line (Profile name and repeat count are for the profile itself Everything else is for the individual "step". All steps have the same options and you can use as many or as few of them as as you want.

    We do something similar to what you describe and use workgroups for it.
