  • Analog trunk lines as backup for pri

    Hello,

Is there a way to use analog trunks as a backup to the digital Pri trunks?
All calls ingress and egress will primarily use the pri. On failure of the primary pstn users will automatically route calls out the analog trunk.

    Thanks

Thats how it is by design. If you have a PRI and analog trunks at your site, Shoretel will try to make the call out of the PRI first. There is also a custom dial string for this.

The only thing is, if your PRI is down, those analog lines are hard coded with their CID, so your main number wont forward to the analog lines, unless you have something worked out with the Telco.

Do you actually have analog trunks in the UK? We dont have them here in Germany.
