  • Softphone Go away

We have a user who has turned on the softphone feature without our knowledge and we're trying to track down who it was. Just showed up on the license page.

Without going through every user in the director and verifying that the softphone feature is disabled, is there a better way to find this?

    Thanks,

    David

You could make a copy of Shoreware.mdb and check out the users table. I seem to recall that there is a softphone field in it. Most users will be 0 (false), someone will be -1 (true), check the user name associated to that record and then untick it in SWD.

You need to have administrator rights in SWD to enable softphone. I'd be more curious about *who* enabled this user for softphone.

In Administration / IP Phones / Individual IP Phones it will show you a list of SoftPhones with the MAC and last-used IP address of the SoftPhone user.
