  • No Service

    All our existing phones are on DHCP.
    I just purchased 10 new 212K phones.
    plugged them in and they all say No Service....

    What am I missing??

    Do you have available ports marked for IP Phone usage on your switch?

    It is possible that your switches are either "Full" or not configured for additional phones.....

    are you sure the DHCP server is still running?

      +1. If it gets a valid DHCP, and option 156, then it's usually that the switch has no more resources allocated.

      If these phones were used, make sure they are set to DHCP, and not manual IP.

          reboot the phone, during setup, access setup by using the password 1234 #. If you want, you can just reset to defualts (which includes DHCP), if not, press no and scroll through the options, and set it to Dynamic.

            The DHCP was off. once I turned it on. it was fine.....
