  • Auto Attendant Voice Recording

Is there an easy way to update a recording? We have a box setup for our Hotline a message about the happenings at the Capital once a week and with our old voicemail I would have the user log into the mailbox and record the new message. Would be nice if we could still just go into that box and update also.

    Thanks in advance,
    BigB

Also if I want to assign a role to the user that is going to just adjust the Auto Attendant Messages what settings do they need at a minimum?

I know 7.0 has that feature (record message via dial-in)

        Thanks

Allow Prompt Recoriding using telephone. So now I call the voicemail go to that mailbox of the AA and do the recordings for the greeting needed.

        Thanks again,

Is an Auto Attendant what I would want to use if I just wanted to have a phone number that people (outside the org) called to simply hear a message but not leave one?

            Nevermind, I got it.

            And the answer is YES!

if you want to just have a phone number that people can call into to hear a message (traffic updates, weather info, store hours, etc.) but NOT be able to leave a message, create an Auto Attendant, give it an avail DID, set the recording, and option it out for "0" to transfer elsewhere or whatever.

            Easy.
