  • AA issue

    We have an AA setup with 1-9 designated to departments. Four digit dialing. At HQ the extension numbers start with 1. When someone calls in and presses 1 AND pauses before entering the next 3 digits it sends it to the dept. designated "for Sales press 1". I have tried changing the timeout on the AA and the delay after collecting digits but it doesn't seem to affect the amount of time the user is given to enter the 4 digits. Is there somewhere else I should be looking or is this hard coded?

    Interdigit timeout is hardcoded to 1200ms and is non-configurable.

        I've had customers request we change this. Is it really hard coded or can it be changed in the database? I've looked around but I didn't see anything in there.

          We had a similar issue. To resolve the problem we added a second AA menu. The first one says "Press 8 for a department listing", then the next AA menu lists the departments.
