  • Find me/call forwarding to a long distance #

I am having a problem trying to configure a user to forward to their cell phone. The problem is that his cell phone is a long distance number. We use long distance codes through our phone carrier for each user for accounting purpose. WHen someone calls long distance, they get a tone in which they have to enter in their specific two digit code. So when he sets up call forwarding to his number and someone calls, they get the prompt to enter in the long distance code. Is there any way to enter in a string within the findme or call forwarding set up to include the proper code???

    Thanks!
    Doug

ShoreTel does account codes out of the box, which you can run reports on.

Was hoping to do this without having to do any major changes. Even though we should use shoretel to manage account codes, it would be a major task. Would like to figure out a workaround for this one user who has a cell phone from another area code.

so, if your carrier will take the number direct, without pauses, you could get it to send the extra digits. Alternatively, if you are using a T1 (not a pri) or an analog line, you can send a pause, and then the digits, but if this is a PRI, and the carrier needs the pause, you have no options.

How exactly would you do this? How do you send a pause and then the digits?
